God's Mountain Retreat was inspired by God to provide facilities and an environment to help churches rescue today's youth for the cause of Jesus Christ. It is a non-denominational camp with it's location being nestled in the mountains of the Cherokee National Forest. The creeks, plant life and wild life make it a perfect place to experience and appreciate the handiwork of God and his creation. Our purpose is to glorify God. In 1967, Jack and Chestine Fulbright purchased the land upon which God's Mountain Retreat was built. Jack prayed to God for guidance on what to do with the land. Almost immediately, God spoke to him and told him to build a youth camp. From a wilderness to only a few rustic buildings in 1976 God's Mountain Retreat was established and opened to accommodate small church groups.
